Iwakuni Tours & Tickets

Every sensible way to see Kintaikyo, with or without Miyajima and Hiroshima — compared and bookable in a couple of taps.

Let us be honest up front: GetYourGuide’s catalogue for Iwakuni itself is small. There is a handful of real Iwakuni products — a guided walk over the bridge, day trips from Hiroshima that pair Iwakuni with Miyajima, a food tour, a sushi class and a bar-hopping evening — and we list every one of them below.

Because almost everyone visits Iwakuni as part of a Hiroshima and Miyajima trip, we have added the best-reviewed tours for those two places, a sake tour in nearby Saijo and the rail passes that cover the route. Everything is booked through GetYourGuide, with live availability and free cancellation on most options. Prices are indicative “from” figures in euros — tap any card for the live price in your own currency. Several Iwakuni listings are new and have few or no reviews yet; we say so on each card.

Good to know

Booking questions

Are there many guided tours in Iwakuni?

No — only a few. Iwakuni is easy to visit on your own, so the guided offer is small: one private walking tour in town, three day trips from Hiroshima and a few food experiences. All of them are listed on this page.

Which tour is best for seeing Iwakuni and Miyajima together?

Choose one of the two guided day trips from Hiroshima that combine both. They handle the trains, the ferry and the timing, which is the hard part of doing both in one day.

Do I need a tour to visit Kintaikyo Bridge?

No. You can simply pay the small toll and walk across. A guide adds the history and the engineering — and makes sure you do not miss the samurai quarter and the castle.

What is included in day trip prices?

It varies. Some include transport and entrance fees, others only the guide. Bridge tolls, the ropeway, the castle and meals may be extra — each listing spells it out.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Most listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and many let you reserve now and pay later. The exact terms are shown on each tour page before you confirm.
